Positioned on the prestigious St Barbara Bastion, this stunning addition offers unparalleled views of Valletta’s iconic Grand Harbour, a sight that has captivated visitors for centuries. Designed by acclaimed local architects AP Valletta with refined interiors by London-based And Architects, La Maison is a harmonious blend of historical charm and contemporary elegance. Spanning six floors and 330 square meters, the townhouse unfolds through individually themed interiors, each defined by its own palette and character. The design showcases innovation but also nods to Maltese heritage, as seen with the reclaimed original Maltese tiles used on the back terrace. La Maison is a dream for adult getaways, but its expansive layout and flexible sleeping arrangements also make it wonderfully family-friendly, comfortably accommodating up to six adults and two children. The townhouse features lift access to all floors and has a central heating/cooling system that can be controlled by Wi-Fi. Level 1
A spacious office with spectacular harbour views and two traditional Maltese balconies sets the tone for this level. It also features a bar area, guest bathroom and the first guest bedroom with an ensuite bathroom.
Level 2
This level is home to the master bedroom, complete with underfloor heating and a Super King bed that overlooks the harbour. A standalone bathtub, also positioned to enjoy the stunning harbour views, adds a touch of indulgence. The floor also features a second guest bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and charming city views, along with a guest bathroom.
Level 3
This level offers a spacious living room with a wood-burning fireplace and a grand Maltese balcony that opens entirely to sweeping harbour views. The state-of-the-art kitchen extends onto a charming back terrace with seating for eight to ten guests, overlooking the quaint East Street.
Level 4
Designed for entertaining and relaxation, this level features an inbuilt bar area, a front terrace with lounge furniture overlooking the Grand Harbour, a barbecue grill and sweeping harbour views, plus a back terrace with a heated outdoor shower.
Level 5
The true centrepiece of the home is the dramatic private heated pool, which appears suspended over the harbour. This 5m² pool is an unrivalled place for relaxation, offering heating, cooling, jets, and comfortable seating inside.
