We are thrilled to announce that Iniala Harbour House & Residences has become the first hotel in Malta to be awarded two Michelin Keys—the highest ranking awarded in the country. The Michelin Key celebrates the world’s most exceptional hotels for their remarkable guest experiences, inspiring design, and outstanding service. We are deeply proud and honoured to receive this prestigious accolade and remain dedicated to continually elevating the Iniala experience for our guests.
Just like the famous Michelin Stars for restaurants, the Keys are the culmination of countless hours of evaluation by the Guide’s independent inspectors, judged across five categories: architecture and interior design, quality and consistency of service, overall personality and character, value for the price, and a significant contribution to the guest experience in a particular setting.
The remarkable two Michelin Key accolade for Iniala Harbour House and Residences comes in the inaugural year of the Key selection for Malta. This exceptional rating signifies a truly unique hotel where an exceptional stay is not just guaranteed, but delivered with palpable pride and considerable care.
“I want to congratulate my team, as well as my architects and designers, for helping us create a truly world-class hotel that has today been recognised with two Michelin Keys, a level that few hotels globally reach. Next year, we will be taking Iniala Harbour House and Residences to an even-higher level with the opening of 19 new suites, two new dining concepts and the Iniala Club, which will include an expanded fitness studio, a longevity centre, and an open-air pool overlooking the Grand Harbour. At Iniala, we continuously strive for exceptionalism, and my incredible team will not rest until we achieve three Michelin Keys to place alongside our Forbes Five Stars.” – Mark Weingard, Founder of Iniala Group.
This new Michelin Key recognition reflects Iniala’s dedication to redefining luxury and setting new standards of excellence in Malta. It positions Iniala Harbour House as the nation’s only hotel to hold two Michelin Keys, the only Forbes Five-Star hotel, and the home of Malta’s only two-Michelin-starred restaurant.
Meanwhile, Iniala’s sister hotel in Thailand, Iniala Beach House, has successfully retained its Michelin Key for the second consecutive year, celebrating it as an outstanding hotel in the country. The property first received this distinction in the inaugural Thai selection last year, and its continued inclusion underscores its position as an industry leader in the region. Located on the pristine shores of Natai Beach, the intimate, ultra-exclusive boutique hotel is a true masterpiece of design, seamlessly blending Thai architecture with contemporary elegance, all framed by the crystal-clear waters of the Andaman Sea. The beachfront property is also a dynamic culinary hub. It is home to Aulis Phuket, the 15-seat chef’s table overseen by Chef Simon Rogan, which was awarded a MICHELIN star just one year after opening, and Anaalā Thailand, a new, elevated Thai cuisine concept by celebrity Chef Ian Kittichai.
This dual Michelin success for Iniala Group, highlighted by the three total Keys including the groundbreaking two-Key win in Malta, affirms the Group’s standing as a leading global hospitality brand, dedicated to setting the benchmark for extraordinary design, world-class service, and exceptional, award-winning gastronomy across both the Mediterranean and Asia.
